Laboratory

The Laboratory is housed at the Rock Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility, 9600 Norledge, Independence, Missouri.

It is operated by a staff of three and is equipped to perform testing and analysis required for the treatment facility’s process control and field sampling analyses. Over 2,500 separate tests each month are performed. The laboratory ensures all testing required for the wastewater treatment plant’s NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) Permit is completed. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is the authority for the NPDES permit program.
