Built in 1852 this magnificent home was once owned by George C. Bingham, famed Civil War Artist who painted Order Number 11. Although extensively renovated in the 1890s, many furnishing and accessories from this era are intact.
Stop 3 - 1859 Jail, Marshal's Home & Museum

Built in 1859, this Federal Style two-story brick house provided a home and office for the county marshal for 74 years. Twelve limestone jail cells adjoin the home, playing a role in Civil War history as well as housing Frank James after his surrender in 1882.

Group tours will enjoy a drive by Harry’s Boyhood Home at River & Waldo, the Truman Depot of the famed "Whistlestop" 1948 Presidential campaign at Elm & Pacific and Bess’s Girlhood Home at 117 W. Ruby, the Truman Home, 219 Delaware which is known as the "Summer Whitehouse", and the neighborhoods where Harry took his daily walks.
