Technology Services

The City's Technology Services Department provides application software development, operations and maintenance of the central computers, server network support and maintenance, and support and maintenance of all workstations to all City departments.

The department is made up of an Applications Development Section, a Network/Technical Support Section and an Operations Section.

The Application Development Section includes the development and maintenance of over 40 computer applications that run on the central computer system.

The Network/Technical Support Section includes the support of all voice communications, data communications, computer networks, and connects approximately 25 locations and a phone system network of Avaya PBXs'.

The Network/Technical Support Section also supports a Help Desk to assist users with technical issues. The Help Desk is available to employees from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Operations Section includes the support of the central computer system, The central computer system consists of two IBM iSeries AS/400 computers.
