Wood Mulch
Wood mulch, made from tree and brush trimmings, is available at no charge to Independence residents. Mulch can be picked up from piles located at Truman Road and Vista (north of the animal shelter) or you can call our tree trimming department at 325-7557 to schedule a larger delivery (up to a truck load) of mulch.

Occasionally deliveries may be delayed if the quality of available mulch is especially poor (containing insects, thorns, sticks, etc…).

Deliveries are made Monday-Friday, around 3:45 p.m. and will be deposited on the driveway, unless otherwise requested.
