Community Services Division Commander


The Community Services Division, under the command of Major Dennie Jensen, is a vital link between the police department and the citizens we serve.  Every unit that is assigned to Community Services deals directly with the public and is responsible for insuring there is a close relationship between the two by maintaining uninhibited communications, understanding, and commitment.  The units and programs assigned to the Community Services Division are: Weed and Seed program, Volunteers in Police Service, Bike Patrol, specified apartment and HUD policing grant programs, Independence Center Police Substation, School Resource Officers, the D.A.R.E. program and Liquor Control.
