The Records Center Division of the City Clerk Department is responsible for the proper storage of the City Archives and all records from all City Departments that still need to be retained after the individual department no longer feels the need to keep the record within the direct control of their own employees. This responsibility includes knowledge of the Missouri State Local Records Law and maintenance of the City's records accordingly and advising all departments of pertinent records retention requirements.

All citizen inquiries about City records need to be made to the originating department.
