Liquor License Type
The following types of liquor licenses are established for the manufacturing, distilling, brewing, distributing or selling at wholesale or retail any alcoholic beverage with the City:

Whslr of Intoxicating Liquor allows the sale of intoxicating liquor to retailers or other wholesalers, but not directly to the public.

Whslr Malt Liq, Non-Intox Beer allows the sale of malt liquor, non-intoxicating beer and intoxicating liquor not in excess of twenty-two percent by weight to retailers or other wholesalers, but not directly to the public.

Whslr of Malt Liquor allows the sale of malt liquor to retailers or other wholesalers, but not directly to the public.

Mfg/Distlr of Intox Liquor allows the sale of intoxicating liquor to retailers or other wholesales, but not directly to the public; Manufacture, distillation or blending of intoxicating liquor and sale to wholesalers or retailers, but not directly to the public.

Mfg Non-Intox Beer/Malt Liquor allows the sale of non-intoxicating beer and malt liquor to retailers or other wholesalers, but not directly to the public; Manufacture, distillation or blending of non-intoxicating beer and malt liquor and sale to wholesalers or retailers, but not directly to the public.

Mfg/Distlr/Blndr Intox Liquor allows sale of intoxicating liquor not in excess of twenty-two percent by weight to retailers or other wholesalers, but not directly to the public; Manufacture, distillation or blending of intoxicating liquor not in excess of twenty-two percent by weight and sale to wholesalers or retailers, but not directly to the public.

Rtlr Pkg Non-Intox Beer allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises. Limited to the following specific businesses: Package liquor store, drug store, cigar and tobacco store, confectionery, delicatessen, grocery store or general merchandise store. Such business must have and keep in the store a stock of goods having a value according to invoices of at least One Thousand Dollars exclusive of fixtures and alcoholic beverages.

Rtlr Non-Intox Beer by Drink allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of non-intoxicating beer by the drink for consumption on the premises.

Rtlr Pkg Malt Liquor/Light Wine allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises.

Rtlr Malt Liq/Wine by Drink allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of non-intoxicating beer by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of malt liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine by the drink for consumption on the premises.

Rtlr Pkg Intox Liquor allows sale on non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of malt liquor in original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor in the original package for consumption off premises. This license is limited to the following specific businesses: package liquor store, drug store, cigar and tobacco store, confectionery, delicatessen, grocery store, or general merchandise store. Such businesses must have and keep in the store a stock of goods having a value according to invoices of at least $1000 exclusive of fixtures and alcoholic beverages.

Rtlr Intox Liq by Drink (Bar) allows sale on non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of non-intoxicating beer by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of malt liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine by the drink for the consumption on the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises.

Restaurant/Bar allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of non-intoxicating beer by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of malt liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of food required, at least $200,000 from the sale of prepared food or meals consumed on the premises.

Lmtd Intox Liq./Non-Intox Beer shall be issued only to a church, civic, service, fraternal, veteran, political or charitable club or organization. Shall allow the consumption of intoxicating liquor and non-intoxicating beer by the drink only at a picnic, bazaar, fair, cultural event or similar gathering. Shall be issued only for the day or days name therein. It shall not authorize the sale of intoxicating liquor and non-intoxicating beer for more than seven days by any organization. If the event will be held on a Sunday, the permit may authorize the sale of intoxicating liquor and non-intoxicating Beer on that day beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at midnight. Shall include physical boundaries to restrict access to licensed premises shall not be allowed within three hundred feet of children's carnival or rides occurring in conjunction with picnic, bazaar, fair, cultural event or similar gathering.

Fourth of July Celebration shall be issued only to a church, school, civic, services, fraternal, veteran, political or charitable club or organization. Shall authorize the sale of malt liquor and light wine at an event held to commemorate the anniversary of the signing od the Declaration of Independence of the United States. Shall be issued only during the period from June 15th to July 15th annually and only for the day or days named therein and it shall not authorize the sale of malt liquor and light wine except between the hours of 10:00 a.m. (11:00 a.m. on Sunday) and midnight and for not more than seven days and by any such organization. The license may be issued to cover more than one place of sale within the general confines of the place where the gathering or event is held. No license shall be issued to any organization, which selects or restricts the membership thereof on the basis of race, religion, color, creed or place of national origin.

Corporate Officer
A person who has been appointed or elected to a principal administrative position in a corporation or LLC..

Managing Officer name
The Managing Officer is the person who is in active management and control of the premises who is eligible as an individual to receive a license for sale of alcoholic beverages; and is a resident of the State of Missouri, or for corporations having more than one business location in Independence or businesses in other communities in Missouri the managing officer shall be that person so designated by the corporation, notwithstanding the above provision for active management and control of premises.

Square Footage
The description of premises or area based on the measurement in feet where any activity will include or involve any type of alcoholic beverage including but not limited to manufacturing, distilling, brewing, distributing, or selling at wholesale or retail. It may be one room, a building comprising several rooms, or a building with adjacent surrounding land such as a lot or garden.

Sunday Liquor License Type
The following types of Sunday liquor license types are established for the manufacturing, distilling, brewing, distributing or selling at wholesale or retail any alcoholic beverage with the City:

Rtlr Pkg Malt Liq/LT Wine-Sunday allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises.

Rtlr Malt Liq/LT Wine Drink-Sunday allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of non-intoxicating beer by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of malt liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises. At least fifty percent of the gross income of the business must come from the sale of prepared food or meals consumed on the premises, or the business must have an annual income of at least two hundered thousand dollars from the sale of prepared meals or food consumed on the premises.

Rtlr Pkg Intox Liq Sunday Sales allows sale on non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of malt liquor in original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor in the original package for consumption off premises.

Restaurant/Bar - Sunday Sales allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of non-intoxicating beer by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of malt liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of light wine by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor by the drink for consumption on premises.

Rtlr Intox Liq by Drink Sunday allows sale of non-intoxicating beer in the original package for consumption off premises; Sale of non-intoxicating beer by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of malt liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of malt liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of light wine in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of light wine by the drink for consumption on the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor in the original package for consumption off the premises; Sale of intoxicating liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises. For charitable, fraternal, religous service, or veterans organizations: To sell intoxicating liquor between the hours of 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and midnight on Sunday by the drink at retail for consumption on the premises.

Microbrewery/Tasting Liquor License Type
The following types of wine tasting liquor license types are established for the manufacturing, distilling, brewing, distributing or selling at wholesale or retail any alcoholic beverage with the City:

Microbrewery allows manufacturing or brewing of non-intoxicating beer and malt liquor containing alcohol with an annual production not to exceed ten thousand barrels. May apply for and may be issued to a Restaurant Bar License to sell intoxicatinf liquor and non-intoxicating beer by the drink at retail for consumption on the brewery premises and in the original package for off-premises consumption. At least fifty percent of the gross income of the business must come from the sale of prepared food or meals consumed on premises, or the business must have an annual income of at least two hundred thousand dollars from the sale of prepared food or meals consumed on the premises. May sell beer and malt liquor produced on the brewery premises to a licensed wholesaler.

Liquor Tasting allows any person who is licensed to sell intoxicating liquor in the original package at retail may apply for a special license to conduct wine, malt beverage and distilled spirits tastings on the licensed premises.
