Community Development Block Grant

The City of Independence received 24 applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the 2011/2012 Program Year. The CDBG Annual Advisory Committee will make funding recommendations at the February 28th, 2011 City Council Study Session.
- TRCB Low Income Tax Clinic is available for qualified tax filers for free income tax preparation and electronic filing of their 2010 Federal Tax Returns. They are located at:
- Trails West Public Library, 11401 E. 23rd St., Wednesdays and Thursdays 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through April 15th, 2011
- National American University, 3620 Arrowhead Ave., Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. through April 12th, 2011.
